Dr Martin Di Nallo is an internationally and Australian trained orthopaedic surgeon with 10+ years of experience specialising in lower-limb orthopaedic conditions. He consults from Bowral and Goulburn.
Dr Di Nallo has a particular clinical focus on knee, foot and ankle conditions. He is an expert in the management of acute knee injuries from sports or workplace accidents requiring reconstruction, arthritis of the knee and ankle requiring replacement, as well minimally invasive techniques such as arthroscopy of the knee and ankle.
He also provides lower-limb fracture management and surgery for patients needing urgent care.
Dr Di Nallo is known for his friendly, approachable manner and for taking the time to understand each patient’s concerns, lifestyle and treatment goals. Patients often comment that consultations with Dr Di Nallo never feel rushed, and that he explains conditions and treatment options in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
Dr Di Nallo believes surgery should only be recommended when truly necessary. He takes a conservative, patient-first approach and will always explore non-surgical options such as physiotherapy, bracing, activity modification and injections before considering an operation.
After completing his medical degree in 2010, Dr Di Nallo undertook orthopaedic surgery training and gained broad experience in managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. He moved to Australia in 2015 to further expand his surgical training and has since completed multiple advanced fellowship positions with leading orthopaedic surgeons and centres of excellence across Australia.
Through this extensive fellowship training, Dr Di Nallo developed particular expertise in lower limb surgery, with a strong focus on knee surgery, foot and ankle surgery and sports injuries. He has completed sub-speciality training in the following areas:
In 2019, Dr Di Nallo became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and is also a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA). These qualifications reflect many years of advanced surgical training, examinations and commitment to the highest standards of orthopaedic care.
Dr Di Nallo also undertook international fellowship training in minimally invasive foot surgery in Bordeaux, France, where he refined his skills in modern surgical techniques designed to reduce soft tissue disruption, minimise scarring and improve recovery times.
Since settling in the Southern Highlands in 2020, Dr Di Nallo has become highly regarded for providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients across Bowral, Goulburn and the Campbelltown regions. He has helped introduce a number of advanced procedures to the local area, including ankle replacement surgery, complex foot deformity correction and knee joint-preserving surgery.
Outside of work, Dr Di Nallo enjoys being part of the Southern Highlands community and values the opportunity to care for patients close to home. He understands the importance of building long-term relationships with patients and providing care that is honest, personalised and focused on achieving the best possible outcome.
When not working, Martin can be found with his wife and two young children enjoying the lifestyle that the Southern Highlands has to offer. He is a passionate rugby fan and follows many other sports.

I believe we all choose medicine for different reasons. I grew up in a small community and I always liked helping people. I looked up to the town’s paediatrician who was a good friend of my family. Apart from being his patient, he was a mentor for me who inspired me to become a doctor.
I have many, but I do enjoy performing deformity corrections. Whether it is the knee or the foot, re-alignment procedures are technically challenging but have a high patient satisfaction rate. Patients who have had a mal-alignment for a long time are extremely happy once they see their limb in a straighter position.
I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and friends. I love sports, I ride my bicycle quite regularly and go for a swim on a weekly basis.
If you are experiencing knee, foot or ankle pain, or want to discuss your options, Dr Martin Di Nallo provides thoughtful, patient-first orthopaedic care across Bowral, Goulburn and Campbelltown.
With a conservative approach and a focus on clear advice, personalised treatment and unhurried consultations, Dr Di Nallo is committed to helping you return to the activities that matter most.
